Job Details: Title: HR ManagerLocation: Colbyn, Queenswood, PretoriaPermanent: YesFull time: YesIndustry: Various Industries – Mainly Mining, Crushing & Screening, PropertySalary / CTC: R 60 000 - R 65 000Reports to: Company Secretary & HR HeadJob Description:The HR/IR Manager is responsible for HR Management and providing administrative support to the HR Head and HR department, to ensure efficient HR/IR operations within the organisation. This includes maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, managing employee benefits, and handling various HR/IR related tasks.Roles and Responsibilities:Update and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), including personal information, employment history, benefits, and performance evaluations.Administer employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Assist employees with benefit inquiries and resolve related issues.Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and other HR/IR-related documents. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.Assist in various HR/IR initiatives, such as performance management, training and development programs, employee engagement activities, and policy development.Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations. Ensure HR/IR processes and practices are in compliance with legal requirements.Address and resolve employee grievances and concerns in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.Promote a positive work environment by fostering strong employer-employee relationships.Support the organisation in collective bargaining processes.Maintain accurate records related to IR activities.Prepare reports on industrial relations matters for Labour Department.Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to IR.Assist with Employment Equity administration and preparation for Submission by the HR/IR Consultants. Keep track of deadlines for submissions.Develop and maintain Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR) administration and submissions; administer Skills Levy claims.(Or preparation for submission by the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) in the event that the services of SDF is used).Keep track of deadlines for submissions.Handle sensitive employee information with utmost confidentiality and discretion.Prepare and analyse HR/IR data and reports, such as headcount, turnover, and other HR/IR metrics.Provide insights and recommendations based on the data.Assisting Labour Department with reviewing and / or drafting of company policies and procedures, also ensuring that they are in accordance with Labour Legislation.Manage the drafting and record keeping of all job profiles, under guidance of the Labour Department.General understanding of all labour legislation (EEA, BCEA, LRA, Skills Development Act)General HR Administration.Active involvement in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, job ads and managing the hiring process.Manage Payroll Input ProcessMonthly reporting including HR MetricsAccountable for the full induction and onboarding processSupport and assist in the Employment Equity ProcessSkills Development tracking, reporting and co-ordination.Presents training sessions related to the assigned program or section area.Management of Employees filesLead and engage in activities related to Employment Equity, Skills DevelopmentIndustrial relations (wage negotiations, disciplinaries, employeeCommunicate required policy revisions, company updates, and process revisions in a professional mannerHandle conflict and grievances.Initiate, assist, and conduct Disciplinary Action (warnings and enquiries).Assisting with administration of performance appraisals as required.Assisting with personnel filing system - ensure all records are kept and up to date.Assisting, where necessary, with record keeping of staff training.Assisting with drafting and maintaining of Organograms.Assisting with Ad-hoc HR/IR projects & processes.Assistant to Company SecretaryRequired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (Minimum Requirement)Minimum 10 years experience HR/IR Generalist function and HR Management Function (preferably in Mining or Industry)3 + Years Employment Equity Experience3 + Years WSP and ATR ExperienceProficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite.Must understand SA labour and employment lawStrong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment lawsExtremely organised, detail oriented and efficientStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse situations, identify issues, and develop and implement solutionsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPresentation and facilitation skillsStrong MS Word, Intermediate Excel, Outlook,Good written and verbal business communication and well presentedAbility to work and engage community-based forum.Proficient in English and AfrikaansChristian BeliefsMust have a driver’s license and be able to get to work (Colbyn, Pretoria).Must be willing to work at other locations as required from time to time (Midstream, Sites at Immerpan, Witbank, etc.)The successful candidate must: have extensive experience in overall HR Management Including Skills Development planning, etc.preferably have HR Management experience in Mining and/or Industrybe seeking long-term employment
