Degree,diploma or other relevant experience relating to HR, IR/ ER, LabourLegislation Job-related Requirements:Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial relations role. • The ability to function well under pressure, prioritizematters and act on them accordingly• The ability to function bothindependently and in a team, take initiative, shows commitment and ismotivated to achieve tasks in the required time frame • Able towork overtimes as and when role and responsibilities require it •Demonstrates good organizational and leadership ability with strongnegotiation, interpersonal and mediation skills with a positiveattitude • Needs to be culturally aware with good ethics, problemsolving and strategic thinking competencies • Continuouslypursues to improve skills through on the job or externaltraining.• An understanding of and insight into the BCEA, LRA,OHS, EE, SDL and POPI acts. Be informed, research and keep up to datewith the South African Labour Law and various acts.• Knowledgeof regulations and compliance as it relates to Human resources , SouthAfrican law and NBCRFLI agreements• Excellent command of theEnglish language, both written and spoken Attributes- sound ability tocommunicate effectively across all levelsADDEDADVANTAGES FOR THIS ROLE:• Previous experience workingin the automotive sector advantageous MAIN PURPOSE OF THEROLE :• Provide IR support to the HR department, toensure a harmonious working environment for all employees. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Enquiry / Hearings/Investigations/Disputes  • Able to resolve conflicts andmanage grievances. Manage grievances and grievance procedurestimeously and ensure management are updated. • Advise andcoordinate with the HR and departmental Managers with respect toemployee disciplinary action required such as including preparation ofdocuments, investigation of any offence, scheduling hearings, andattendance at hearings/ grievances handling• Support the HR anddepartmental managers on any CCMA or Labour court referralsUnions /ER / Management /development  • Assistemployees and management with queries and requests with regards to HR/IR .• Union engagement – monthly meetings with minutes•Ensure management and union compliance on any collectiveagreements.• Continually analyse and develop operating proceduresas it relates to IR• Ensure and assist business with strike andcontingency plans and that they are continually updated in the eventof any industrial action • Prepare minutes of various Union oremployee meetings and prepare other required reports• Usediscretion and maintain confidentiality at all times • Advisemanagement on all matters that involve conflict between employees.• Assist in the development of HR, IR and ER labour protocols,operating procedures. • Maintain and follow HR policies,regulations and procedures related to the function, rights andresponsibilities of all staff.• Ensure that all staff membersare aware of the IR and ER protocols and regulations, and thatemployees have access to the relevant documents or policies whenneeded. Conduct regular engagement with employees to; explain companypolicies and procedures, address issues timely and report tomanagement all unresolved ones. • Ensure continuous revision,internal training and updates are provided on various IR and ER andrecent case law and that this is conducted regularly across all levelsof management and where necessary coordinate external training onrelevant matters • Work with the representative union andmanagement in managing conflict between parties and employees•Assist in the organization and induction of new staff on the code ofconduct, HR and IR protocols and operating procedures duringorientation• Any other duties as may be assigned by the IR Heador the Human Resources Head.#J-18808-Ljbffr
