Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RF) (Pty) Ltd in Somerset West Cape TownThe Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible to manage the Quality Assurance Department on a day-to-day basis, to ensure highest quality while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. Maintain quality systems and technical support throughout the entire product life cycle with special reference to process development, production, and problem solving. Key focus is to create an environment of trust, respect, and positivity within the team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage the Quality Assurance teamDistribute workload to support operational requirements.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and development.Ensure compliance with RDM standards and ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.Accountable for department’s administration and interaction with plant personnel.Adhere to quality and safety requirements.Work strongly with manufacturing teams in ensuring scrap limits are not exceeded.Identify root causes of quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.Lead quality audits, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on identified non-conformities.Oversee Production Build Histories and online inspections.Manage customer complaints and failure investigationsManage Process Qualifications.Compile and update FMECA, FMEA, quality control plans and process qualifications.Control of non-conforming items during development and series production. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE BTech/BEng Degree in Quality/Mechanical/Chemical qualification or equivalent.Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing would be advantageous.At least 5 years experience in quality management environmentManagerial experience would be advantageous.Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills.Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability.Good planning and attention to detail.Self-motivated and independent.Experience in design and development of products.Experience in Industrialization of products in a mechanical/chemical engineering environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
