The role will be based in Malalane and report to the Production Manager . Purpose of the role: Facilitate, advise, and consult on the identification of Process Training needs Matric with Maths and Science or any relevant qualifications (Chemical Engineering/Analytical Chemistry). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory position. Minimum of 1 year experience as Process Foreman/Shift Superintendent. Minimum 6 years’ experience in a Sugar manufacturing environment. Completed all Sugar Manufacturing Modules Sugar manufacturing short courses (evaporation, clarification, pan boiling, refinery) Completed Pan Boiling Programme (internal or external) Computer literacy (Proficiency in MS Word, Excel) SAP Time Management Knowledge of Laboratory principles Understanding and knowledge of Sugar manufacturing process (Raw House and Refinery) and operations parameters. Basic knowledge of Front-end operations (Extraction and Boilers) will be advantageous. Knowledge of quality assurance and SHE policies Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skill. Sound employee relations management skills. Willing to do Process Standby as per standby roster. To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen. Duties&Responsibilities Facilitate, advise, and consult on the identification of Process Training needs. Apply suitable programs and interventions to address specific training requirements. Assist in developing learning materials for the group in line with the business imperatives. Advise and consult on the implementation of required interventions. Compile, execute and submit training plans. Perform on the job training. Create a motivational climate for learning with assessed measurable outcomes. Effectively implement and administer courses in line with legislative and procedural requirements. Optimise and coordinate training opportunities and activities. Provide input to the updating of the skills readiness matrix. Review the skills matrix to fit Process job requirements. Report on training interventions and progress made within the Production team on a monthly or ad-hoc basis. Assist with learnership programs and administration where required. Assist management in the Factory with areas that require optimisation and ad-hoc. investigations. Keep up to date with Factory performance and make recommendations where improvement can be made. Assist management in ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed. Assist management in ensuring Food Safety rules and regulations are followed.
