We are seeking a dynamic Brand Manager to join our team, who is not only a clear thinker but also excels in effective communication . ABOUT THE ROLE: The Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in crafting and executing the brand strategy , ensuring the brand’s distinctive identity is consistently represented across all platforms. They are instrumental in managing external platforms to heighten brand visibility and foster awareness. This role demands a strategic thinker with a keen eye for brand positioning and the ability to navigate the competitive landscape effectively. A detail-orientated and data-driven approach is critical. The Brand Manager provides support to the Head of Marketing, works alongside the Digital and Social Media Strategist and guides the PR Manager, key Graphic Designers and Administrator. Please note - only candidates currently residing in Cape Town will be considered for this role KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: STRATEGY: Support the Head of Marketing with strategy development and implementation for the SAOTA brand, as well as periodic reporting to Board of Directors. Lead the implementation of strategies with support from Digital, Graphics and Media. Compile and monitor spend for the brand within the Marketing Budget. Analyse and report on the implementation of brand strategy. BRAND: Oversee, maintain, and manage the corporate identity. Manage all Brand Collateral tasks and provide strategic input. Draft copy for various platforms. MEDIA PUBLICITY: Oversee and manage all events and exhibitions Oversee Social Media Strategy for the brand (Photoshoots, Media lists, Press Pack/Release, Coverage). Lead relationship-building relating to strategic partnerships for the brand. SOCIAL MEDIA: Alongside the in-house Digital and Social Media Specialist, oversee the implementation of strategy, content calendar development and all related reporting PUBLIC FORUMS: Define and implement plan to align to strategy for awards, events and networking opportunities Negotiate speaker opportunities and manage events Prepare and submit award entries INTERNAL COMMUNICATION: Oversee all internal communication KEY REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 5 years experience in an in-house Brand Manager role Experience managing a team Passion for media and marketing Ability to work accurately and professionally under pressure Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel Knowledge of the following is beneficial: Adobe, WordPress, Meltwater, Hootsuite, Deltek Vantage and Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics, Mailchimp Willingness to learn Strong research skills as well as computer and administrative skills Strong strategic experience KEY CHARACTERISTICS The role requires the ability to work in a high-performance, professional environment, where there are constant learning opportunities. The successful applicant will need to be able to work under pressure, have strong attention to detail/accuracy, be organised, proactive and self-disciplined. This position forms part of a larger team which the incumbent will be responsible for contributing to as a team player, while also assuming areas of individual responsibility.
