To provide sound Industrial Relations and assist HR Manager and HR Administrator with Human Resources functions for Benoni&Inland Branches. Responsibilities: Provide advice and guidance to Line Management on all Industrial Relations matters. Liaise with Sectional Managers/Supervisors and ensure that employees attend scheduled training. Assist the HR Manager in arranging external training. Monitor and keep up to date schedule of statutory training. Capture completed training on Accsys system. Induct new employees on Industrial Relations Assist Sectional Managers/Supervisors to improve Mini Businesses and Suggestion Scheme Present Mini Business team members with suggestion scheme awards Arrange quarterly Mini Business presentations. Participate in the recruitment and interviewing of employees. Ensure Disciplinary cases&grievances are fairly and procedurally resolved timeously. Support and compile relevant HR reports ad mandated by the HR Manager. Provide supporting role and or represent the Company at the CCMA/Bargaining Council in conciliation matters, with guidance from the HR Manager/Director. Provide supporting role in preparation of bundles for arbitration matters. Pro-active approach in dealing with IR matters on the shop floor. Ensure good communication with all stakeholders i.e. Employees, Management and Trade Unions. Ensure there is labour peace in the workplace. Consistently and fairly implement HR policies and procedures. Manage and foster good relations between Management, Employees and Trade Unions, at all times. Ensure that employee benefits are fairly and equitably implemented. Deal and handle all relevant Human Resources matters at all levels of the company and liaise with external employee benefit service providers on issues such as medical aid, retirement funds, disabilities, housing loans and general HR related administrative issues for hourly paid employees. Ensure that Human Resources programmes and administration are well organized and up to date. Schedule, take minutes and report on stakeholder meetings between the company and the Unions. Be on the shop floor from time to time to understand operations and IR/HR matters. Provide support when required with general statutory reporting requirements including but not limited to annual training reports and WSP. Ensure employee benefits and relevant administration for hourly paid employees are adequately addressed, carried and processed with the relevant Funds/Schemes. Requirements: Minimum 3-year National Diploma in Labour Relations or Human Resources (NQF Level 6) Minimum 4 – 6 years manufacturing industry relevant practical experience Working knowledge of dispute resolution framework in a unionized environment Working experience as a Generalist in Human Resources. Valid Drivers’ license and ability to travel between branches.
