Our client based in Cape Town (CBD) is currently seeking a Lead Engineer to join their innovative team. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading technical initiatives, driving engineering excellence and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality solutions. The role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching and feedback to foster professional growth and development Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Managers to define project goals, requirements and technical solutions Drive the development and implementation of new processes and systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance Provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise Champion engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and workflows Act as a technical escalation point, providing guidance and support to resolve complex technical issues and internal challenges Role Requirements: Minimum required certifications: CCNP/MTCRE/JNCIA Minimum required experience: 4-7 years of working experience with a WISP/FISP or in a NOC Previous experience in a leadership capacity Excellent leadership and communications skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving project objectives Passion for continuous learning and professional development, with a commitment to staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies Please apply directly here .
