Job Description Our client provides bespoke solar photovoltaic (PV) off-grid, grid-tied and battery storage solutions to commercial, industrial and agricultural clients. They are currently looking to hire a Solar Design Engineer for their office in Stellenbosch. That could be you! ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Calculation of string and inverter configurations, and structural layouts of modules and rooftops and ground mounts Collaboration with the Engineering Department on solutions for design flaws or problems. Determine design criteria or specifications Ensure all administrative and design tasks meet the deadlines and are kept up to date and accurately carried out. Recommend technical design or process changed to improve efficiency, quality, or performance Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during system commissioning or performance monitoring. Support maintenance capabilities by performing on-site troubleshooting. MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS: BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering Software experience: PVSol and Homer Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape Salary: R700 000 – R400 000 per annum
