POSITION PROFILE TITLE Accountant / Bookkeeper DEPARTMENT Accounting REPORT TO Office Manager CONTACTING Managing Agents + Auditors 1. DUTIES: Responsible for several companies (Body Corporate and/or Home Own Association) accounts (cash book and general ledgers). To record all transactions and post expenses and income. 2. Key duties 1. Cashbook function 2. Accounts receivable and Credit Control function 3. Accounts payable Function 4. Month end provisions + general ledger reconciliation 5. Statutory Submissions 6. Audits 7. Team work 3. Duty description 1. Cashbook function Captures and allocates Cashbook data for several companies (Bodies Corporate + HOA) bank accounts. Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and related General Ledgers Accounts. 2. Accounts receivable and Credit control function Process Accounts Receivable payments in correct accounts. Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable balances within defined company payments terms. 3. Accounts payable function Oversee work of Managing Agent Review Accounts Payable reconciliations and related General Ledger reconciliations. 4. Month end provisions&general ledger reconciliation Processing and month end provisions and reconciliations of general ledger. 5. Statutory Submissions Preparation of VAT returns 6. Audits Retrieves documentation and provides information for the auditor, as required, during the annual audit. 7. Team work Provide back-up assistance to other members of the team on request of director. Consistently demonstrates willingness to assist managing agents with tasks to ensure smooth operations in department. Contributes positively towards a professional and pleasant working environment in department and company.
