Key Performance Areas Daily support to contract executives and units. Prepare annual budget for the region. Cash controls at units. Daily reporting of financials to the support center. Fixed asset management. Payroll review for region. Handle insurance claims for the region. Cost management. Liaison with external parties. Staff management. Performance Standard: Ensure accurate and complete monthly consolidation of financial results of the region. Review of monthly financial results and commentary for accuracy. Participate in monthly financial reporting meetings with regions/units. Accurate and timeously submission of monthly financial results to the support centre within the set deadlines. Balance sheet recons such as accruals, and closing stock. Review billing and ensure revenue is complete and accurate Monthly flash reporting. Internal and external audits. Work closely with the region contract executive daily. Provide daily financial and administration support and oversight to units. Prepare the annual budget for the region. Accurate and timeously submission of annual budget to Support Centre. Ensuring the region’s financial results forecast is updated accurately and timeously. Accurate and timeously submission of forecasts to support centre. Ensuring unit adheres to SOP’s. Attend ad-hoc stock counts. Review open orders and ensure all unit receipting is done daily. Ensuring unit adheres to SOP’s. Ensure cash is banked meticulously. Accurate and timeously submission of daily financial reporting to the support centre. Follow up immediately on areas of concern e.g. low margins Ensure proper fixed asset management in the region. Ensure the region’s fixed asset registers are accurate and kept current always. Ensuring quarterly asset counts are performed and fixed asset registers are updated accordingly. Ensure adherence to internal controls regarding fixed assets including but not limited to additions, transfers, and disposals. Review monthly payroll for the region for accuracy and completeness, ensuring relevant approvals. Ensure accurate and timeously submission of monthly payroll to support centre. Handle insurance claims for the region where applicable. Approve purchase orders where applicable ensuring spend is controlled and in line with company policies and procedures. Overview and review of the region’s expenses, ensuring that expense budgets are adhered to drive margins in the unit. Have a sound understanding of what factor impacts the margin for e.g. food basket and pricing. Regular meetings with external parties where required, such as customers within theregion. Always ensure professional appearance and behavior. Manage and oversee the financial and administrative staff within the units ensuringregular support is provided where needed. Requirements Qualifications and Experience: B.Com Accounting or Similar. Previous experience in hospitality or a catering environment. Team leader. Strong planning and administration skills. Work unsupervised, self-starter. Need to travel to the regions to visit units. Work overtime when required.
