Pay@, a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions is looking for a Business Development Lead: High Volume&Strategic Bill Issuers to join their growing team. The main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for step growth in transaction volumes through servicing existing billers effectively, and through the onboarding of new high volume potential billers. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and proactive self-starter, with the ability to switch between high level strategy and detailed work. Furthermore, the candidate is disciplined and tenacious, seeing opportunities through to completion. The ideal candidate for this role would be based in Johannesburg or Stellenbosch. Responsibilities will include: • Grow transaction volumes through servicing of billers under management; • Source and onboard new billers; • Grow transaction volumes through both retailer and digital payment networks; • Establish a trusted advisor relationship with key (existing and prospect) biller stakeholders; • Identify and develop Pay@ strategic partnerships – banks, referral partners, etc.; • Explore innovative new solutions and collaborate across the business to grow Pay@; • Act as the key interface between billers / prospects and departments within Pay@; • Maintain Pay@’s marketing presence in conjunction with the marketing team; • Liaise internally to ensure operations pertaining to billers run smoothly; • Track and report key business opportunities, sales analysis and forecasts, solutions and query management. Minimum requirements: • Relevant tertiary qualification; • 5 -8 years’ similar experience in the payments / financial industry, with referenceable sales and enterprise level client relationship management experience; • Understanding of payments environment (retailers, digital, banking, card schemes, EFT, settlement, acquiring, etc.) would be highly beneficial; • Driver’s license, and the ability to travel fairly often; • Fluent in English and ideally Afrikaans.
