HEAD OF SUBJECT: HISTORY Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals. Requirements for this position are: A passion for History and teaching young people whose learning you will be expected to inspire; Innovative ideas and the flexibility to embrace changes in education, to integrate IT into your teaching methods and a thorough understanding of the South African curriculum; A suitable academic qualification from a recognised institution and appropriate educational experience; The ability and experience of teaching Grade 7 – 12; The willingness and ability to form part of a team and to ensure that the academic standard in the department remains at a high standard; Previous experience in an IEB school is an advantage; Proof of registration with SACE; To be in possession of a Clearance Certificate in terms of the Sexual Offenders Register; A willingness to embrace the ethos, values and mission of the College; and A willingness to lead and participate in the extra-curricular activities of the College.
