Minimum requirements for the role:A Millwright Trade Test Qualification with a Red Seal Ticket or a Mechanical / Electrical qualification is essential for the role.Previous experience having worked within a manufacturing environment is preferred.The company is also happy to train a graduate with no experience for the role.Previous injection moulding experience is advantageous but not essential.Previous mechanical or electrical fault-finding skills and experience is preferred.Experience in repairing and lubricating machinery and equipment is preferred.Exposure to P.L.C. fault-finding is preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team are essential.Must be attentive to detail and be able to work under pressure.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Providing technical input as well as carrying out maintenance tasks on both electrical and mechanical extrusion film and flexographic printing equipment in accordance with world-class standards.Maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing stationary and non-stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment as well as performing preventative maintenance on machinery/mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Installing, aligning, dismantling and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, etc. according to layout plans using hand and power tools.Operating hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and forklifts to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining extruders, printers, bag makers, clipping machines, slitting machines, shirring machines and all equipment in the packaging department.Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.Maximising plant efficiency through continuous improvement.Efficiently managing stock of spares and equipment needed to maintain the plant.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
