Job Purpose: The Portfolio Administrator is responsible for assisting with the planning and recommendations on clients’ overall investment portfolios, as well as maintaining and servicing existing client records and portfolios. This role plays a critical administrative and support function within the investment management team.Key Responsibilities:Assist with portfolio construction and recommendations for clients, working closely with the investment management team.Update client investment portfolios on the firm’s portfolio management software (Wealthcraft), retirement cash flow forecasting tool, and asset allocation models.Maintain and service existing client investment records and portfolios to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with FAIS regulations.Ensure the firm’s client database is accurately and consistently updated whenever changes are made to client investment profiles.Perform other administrative duties as required to support the investment management and client service functions.Liaise with insurance providers to obtain policy information as needed.Provide general administrative support to the broader team when required.Required Skills and Experience:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an administrative or support role within a financial services or investment management environment.Strong computer skills and proficiency with portfolio management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant applications.Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, colleagues, and external providers.Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational abilities.Maturity and professionalism in dealing with sensitive client information.Familiarity with FAIS regulations and compliance requirements.Qualifications:Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a related field would be an advantage.FAIS regulatory exams or certifications would be highly desirable.An easy way to apply for this job.
