The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work primarily in the vibrant Winelands area of the Western Cape and to collaborate with a talented team of professionals dedicated to excellence in the construction industry.Responsibilities:Work in conjunction with clients, architects and Quantity Surveyors to establish project requirementsUndertake feasibility studies to ensure the feasibility of proposalsEstimate material quantities, costs, labour and timePrepare tender and contract documentationPerform risk assessments, value management and cost control during projectsUndertake cost analysis for repairs and maintenance workNegotiate contracts and work schedulesValue completed work and arrange for paymentsEnsure projects meet legal and quality standardsContinually analyse outcomes and write budget reportsAdvise on contractual claims and disputesKeep up-to-date with industry trends and regulationsRequirements:Relevant Quantity Surveying qualificationRegistration as professional Quantity Surveyor will strengthen the application10 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil construction industryEES and EGM literacyFinancial acumenProficiency in cost estimation software and project management toolsStrong analytical skills and creative approach to problem-solvingComprehensive understanding of construction contracts and legal regulationsExcellent communication, negotiation and teamwork abilitiesExcellent computer skills
