More than two decades of working in international markethas proved that we always stand with our clients not only as vendor but also as consultant andcontractor.About the roleThe Off-Grid Solar Sales Manager will lead a team of sales representatives to drive revenue growth andmarket expansion in the off-grid solar sector. This individual will develop and execute sales strategies,coach and mentor the sales team, build strong customer relationships, and identify new businessopportunities to achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's success in the renewable energymarket.To be successful as a sales Manager, you should possess an in-depth knowledge of our company's technicalproducts and services and you should be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable tonon-technical customers. You should be driven to achieve your sales goals and should have excellent salesand customer service skills.Key Responsibilities1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targetsand increase market share in the off-grid solar industry.2. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to effectively prospect, qualify, negotiate, and closesales with customers interested in off-grid solar solutions.3. Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to sales representatives to enhance their sellingskills, product knowledge, and understanding of customer needs.4. Set clear performance expectations, goals, and KPIs for the sales team and monitor theirperformance regularly to ensure alignment with business objectives.5. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align salesinitiatives with company objectives and ensure seamless execution of sold projects.6. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and strategicaccounts, to expand the company's presence and customer base in the off-grid solar market.7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partnersto understand their needs, address concerns, and provide value-added solutions.8. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform salesstrategies, identify emerging opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge.Candidate requirementsEducation:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.• MatricExperience:• At least 3 - 4 years’ experience in sales, with a proven track record of success in selling off-gridsolar solutions.• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.• Previous experience in a sales management or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead,motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.• Strong understanding of off-grid solar technologies, including solar PV systems, battery storage,inverters, and energy management solutionsAdditional Considerations• Must have own transport.• Must have a valid driver’s license.• Professional, self-motivated and target driven.• Ability to travel within and/or outside of South Africa.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapportand influence stakeholders at all levels.• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans in alignment with companygoals and market dynamics.• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and sales analytics tools for trackingperformance and analysing sales data.• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support thesales team in various locations.
