Responsibilities Responsible for the overall efficient running of the lodgeManage the various departments within the lodge – including financial, housekeeping, F&B, amenities, groundsAssist with the HR function of the staff - including discipline, leave, wages, scheduling, staffingMonitor and manage administration – stock control, cash, budgetsFinancial control of budgets, cash handling, cash flow, forecastsMonitoring of all respective costsGeneral maintenance which includes property, all amenities, equipment and vehiclesManaging and resolving of guest’s complaints as well as special requestsSubmission of relevant reports and feedbackEvents managementEnsure compliance of all standards at the required level for the lodgeFollow up on enquiries and potential salesCo-ordination of projects for the lodge Requirements Grade 12B Com financial degree is essential (an equivalent Diploma may be considered)MUST HAVE at least 5 years in a Senior Management role in a lodge environmentPrevious experience in a 5* establishment is preferredFully computer literate – MS OfficeExperience with POS systems is essentialGood understanding of accounts and accounting principalsPassionate about people and have excellent customer interaction/care skillsHands on approach to customersAll round skills and understanding related to the efficient running of a LodgeGood leadership and staff interaction is a mustMust be professional and presentableValid driver’s licenseSouth African citizens only
