The successful candidate will report to the Marketing Director.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Working with a graphic designer to conceptualise and write copy for a range of marketing deliverables including graphics for social media, marketing emails and longer form bookletsProofreading all marketing content before publication to ensure a professional end-product in the role of copywriterSigning off on all local design content to ensure it is in line with Party CIProviding project coordination support for the full range of functions managed by the Marketing Team, including website and social media management, as well as email, SMS, print, out of home, AV and other campaigns.Supporting the roll-out of all marketing campaigns, ensuring the smooth operationalization of quality, on deadline projectsProspective applicants must meet the following requirements:Qualification in marketing, journalism, public relations, politics or similar field5 years’ experience in a marketing environmentRelevant experience conceptualising and writing content for various marketing platformsExperience using Adobe Acrobat software advantageousExperience with photo, video and audio shoots/recordings in order to support the design team and wider department with art directionExperience with proofreading in English (additional languages advantageous)Translation skills and experience advantageousExcellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom)Knowledge of marketing best practiceExcellent communication and writing skillsExcellent time management skillsExcellent administrative, coordination and organisational abilitiesSystematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and within a teamKnowledge and understanding of the South African current affairs and liberal philosophyCommitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the DAAn ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work scheduleShould you meet the above requirements and be interested, kindly forward the following to Chandre Fernandez, Democratic Alliance, Federal Head Office, PO Box 1475, Cape Town, 8000.
