Duties & Responsibilities A recent professional profile photo is to accompany your applicationEMPLOYMENT TYPE : PermanentSECTOR : Commercial UnderwritingBASIC SALARY : Market RelatedSTART DATE : A.S.A.P / ImmediateREQUIREMENTS: MatricIndustry related qualificationRE5 and FAIS compliant – Non-NegotiableMinimum 8 years’ experience in Commercial UnderwritingMinimum 5 years' experience in a similar management roleExperience working within brokerage essentialDUTIES: Financial:Take appropriate action to minimise cancellationsEnsure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses. Client:Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. clients, AE’s, insurers) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevantBuild and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholdersEnsure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targetsEnsure relevant TCF objectives are achieved Business Processes:Adhere to company quality standards, process and broader regulatory frameworks wrt the following processes (but not limited to):To ensure that underwriting practices adhere to broader regulatory frameworks, industry best practice and organisational standards for service and qualityTo provide commercial lines advice to internal and external stakeholdersAct as liaison between client facing and internal servicing teams to channel information, request for documentation etc.Keep abreast of product and services available to the market and competitor movementsEnsure that commercial underwriting practices adhere to compliance requirementsEnsure effective complaint resolution within the required time linesEnsure service level agreements are metDevelop and implement key metrics and dashboards to aid in decision making to ensure optimal team performanceConduct quality audits and take corrective action (as required) to ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to.Compile, and distribute reports to various stakeholders as requiredAssist with the design and implementation of training material and standard operating proceduresAdhere to company mandatesParticipate and contribute projectsLiaise with insurers on product development as well as auditsLiaise with stakeholders to ensure continuous process improvement including automation and digitisation Learning and Growth:Ensure continuous self-development.Share information and knowledge with the team.Ongoing training, coaching and mentoring of direct reports.Performance management of direct reports.HOURS:Monday to Friday: 8:00 – 17:00Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.Should you not hear back from us within 10 working days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
