OverviewHire Resolve’s client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, and driving revenue growth within the logistics industry in Gauteng. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in the strategic expansion and growth of our business.Responsibilities:Cash flow and working capital managementPreparation of the monthly management report packs and sales and marketing reportsProvisions and accrual management and controlEnsure a robust staff attraction, retention, and reward strategyBuild and continue building a team culture that ensures absolute alignment with the greater goals of the businessEnsure constructive performance management processes that are aimed at growing peopleEnsure that adequate training and development of staff is drivenDrive the company’s brand into the market and maintain a presenceEnsure that corporate brand identity is protectedEffective PR and communications in the marketDrive all internal and external marketing campaignsEnsure that staff utilization is in line with budget and that maximum utilization is achievedEnsure work allocated is aligned with the aspirations of staff, availability, and capabilityBalance productivity with billing, revenue, and EBIT and ensure that utilization of staff results in meeting budgetary financial targetsDevelop new and existing client relationships and ensure either new business or sell-on workProvide support in and/or lead contract renewalsProvide innovative supply chain solutions to clients that result in annuity-based revenueEnsure that the business delivers on the set strategyFormulate the business growth strategyProvide strategic direction and input into the next 3–5 yearsProvide strategic direction in relation to the attainment of growth within existing and new markets and or customers and ensure that the business delivers on this strategyProvide strategic direction in relation to markets, customers, competitors, regions, and countries that we should be inRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related fieldMinimum 8 years of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with clientsStrategic thinker with a results-driven mindsetProven ability to meet and exceed sales targetsStrong negotiation and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM softwareValid driver’s license and reliable transportationContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
