Hire Resolve’s client in the Logistics Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Shipping Officer (Exports & Imports) to join their team in Gauteng.ResponsibilitiesOversee the entire shipping process for both imports and exports, including the coordination of necessary documentation, customs clearance, and freight forwardingManage and develop relationships with shipping suppliers, ensuring timely availability of shipping containers and negotiating favorable ratesCollaborate with internal teams to establish efficient shipping procedures and optimize logistics operationsMonitor shipment schedules and track deliveries to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may ariseHandle the preparation and processing of shipping documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and packing listsConduct regular audits of shipping processes and vendor performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savingsStay up-to-date with international shipping regulations and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and standardsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, preferably within the international movers industryStrong knowledge of import and export regulations, customs documentation, and freight forwarding processesProficient in using shipping software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressureProactive and self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teamBenefitsSalary: R250k/yr – R350k/yr, negotiableTraining & Development Family Leave Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career changing move.
