Position Summary: As a Key Account Executive at SMD Technologies, you will be at the epicenter of our client relationships. This role requires managing our most significant accounts, which form the backbone of our revenue stream. Entrusted with not just maintaining, but also fortifying these client relationships, you will anticipate client needs, ensure their success, and drive business growth. This is a leadership role, and you will guide a dynamic team of Key Account Managers and Administrators towards achieving these goals. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with our major key clients, ensuring their utmost satisfaction. Proactively address and resolve any client concerns or complaints, ensuring their needs are always prioritized. Stay ahead of the curve by anticipating key account changes and improvements, ensuring we always meet and exceed expectations. Team Management&Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Key Account Managers and Administrators. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including design, sales, marketing, logistics, warehousing, and more to ensure client deliverables are met to the highest standard. Partner with the sales team to explore opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling, further increasing revenue potential. Strategic Oversight&Planning: Engage in strategic planning to continually enhance client outcomes. Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring clarity on performance timelines. Oversee the management of both internal and external budgets, ensuring alignment with company and client objectives. Reporting&Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on account progress, quarterly goals, and initiatives for internal stakeholders. These reports may also contribute to case studies or training materials. Analyse client data meticulously to refine our customer relationship management strategies. Business Development: Not only maintain but expand our client base by leveraging existing relationships and forging new ones. Administrative Duties: Ensure all client documentation is organized, current, and easily accessible. This ensures we remain informed and proactive in our client interactions. Qualifications&Requirements: Proven experience in wholesale retail account management, preferably with giants like Mass Mart and Builders. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter who is also a collaborative team player, with a knack for mentoring and leadership. Proficient understanding of our key clients and their industry positioning. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred. 4-5 years of prior experience in roles involving sales, management, or key account management. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite (with a particular emphasis on Excel). Demonstrated negotiation skills and a proven track record of meeting sales goals and delivering client solutions. Must possess own transport and a valid driver’s license, as the role demands frequent store and client visits. Some travel may be required based on client location and needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
