As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business unit's profitability, overseeing all operational, commercial, and administrative activities. Your contributions will be instrumental in the success of the business in DRC. Responsibilities will include: The role will involve: General freight forwarding operations (land, air, and sea) Industrial, mining and oil and gas project logistics Overseeing sales – including hands-on activities to win new business and maintaining key client relationships Maximising revenue generation and growing the group's market position in Senegal Full P&L responsibilities Management, training and development of the local workforce (operations and sales) Work closely with regional offices and other senior management within the business Requirements: Previous experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry is a must. A track record of success across operations, developing client relationships, and increasing profitability/market share. Experience working in West or Central Africa is highly advantageous. Fluency in English and French is a must. The role is based in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
