Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Head Office in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Category Assistant (Beauty) to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to play an integral role in collaborating with all levels of Beauty, as well as participation in the sales and customer category planning. The primary accountability is to deliver the right product at the right place and at the right time while effectively managing Dis-Chem’s recommended action plans to maintain store in-stock benchmarks. Grade 12 / Matric Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in Customer Service/Planning/Business Analysis within Retail Advantageous: Beauty and Fragrance experience Monitor and ensure only official stores are allocated stock Ensure linking of articles where applicable, and linking form is completed Ensure frequent updating of images are received as per specifications Ensure articles on jab correspond with Buy Sheet. (descriptions correspond and qtys agreed) Ensure MOV is met on jabs Completed jab submitted for processing Ensure Buy sheet corresponds with what was presented Confirm offers and qtys with supplier Load Vendors onto F&R Inform F&R of add-ons to be added Inform F&R of any parameters that need adjustment or changes that need to be made Ensure only official stores are ranged for the brand Ensure Ranging documents are up to date with changes Ensure newly opened stores are added to ranging, and ranging is applied Master Data upkeep for the Beauty and Fragrance categories Assist stores by Listing / Delisting where needed Assist stores by Suspending / Active where needed Ensure SOS is correct Discontinue articles provided by suppliers Provide forecast for Buy-Ins into DC – across categories. Process orders into Distribution Centre - across categories Various Infill reports / Dormant / DSC, as requested ( all Beauty ) Various Sales reports – monthly&weekly Knowledge of implementation of policies and procedures Finds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to. Conveys ideas and facts verbally using language. Grasps the meaning of information written in English Builds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect. Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight. Sticks to commitments.
