Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Head Office in Midrand has an opportunity available for a Category Assistant (Beauty) to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to play an integral role in collaborating with all levels of Beauty, as well as participation in the sales and customer category planning. The primary accountability is to deliver the right product at the right place and at the right time while effectively managing Dis-Chem’s recommended action plans to maintain store in-stock benchmarks.Grade 12 / MatricMinimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in Customer Service/Planning/Business Analysis within RetailAdvantageous:Beauty and Fragrance experienceMonitor and ensure only official stores are allocated stockEnsure linking of articles where applicable, and linking form is completedEnsure frequent updating of images are received as per specificationsEnsure articles on jab correspond with Buy Sheet. (descriptions correspond and qtys agreed)Ensure MOV is met on jabsCompleted jab submitted for processingEnsure Buy sheet corresponds with what was presentedConfirm offers and qtys with supplierLoad Vendors onto F&RInform F&R of add-ons to be addedInform F&R of any parameters that need adjustment or changes that need to be madeEnsure only official stores are ranged for the brandEnsure Ranging documents are up to date with changesEnsure newly opened stores are added to ranging, and ranging is appliedMaster Data upkeep for the Beauty and Fragrance categoriesAssist stores by Listing / Delisting where neededAssist stores by Suspending / Active where neededEnsure SOS is correctDiscontinue articles provided by suppliersProvide forecast for Buy-Ins into DC – across categories.Process orders into Distribution Centre - across categoriesVarious Infill reports / Dormant / DSC, as requested (all Beauty)Various Sales reports – monthly & weeklyKnowledge of implementation of policies and proceduresFinds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to.Conveys ideas and facts verbally using language. Grasps the meaning of information written in EnglishBuilds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures.Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
