KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssists in the development of project estimates and coordinates the preparation of estimates for minor contract scope changes or extra work ordersAssist and support in the preparation, development, and submission of the Basis of Estimate for project cost estimatesAssist and support in the development, issue, and maintenance of project cost estimates in accordance with the Basis of Estimate including statements of work scope, assumptions, man-hour estimates, narratives, and review & comment of client documentsAssist and support in the internal review of project cost estimates, coordinating comments & updates and ultimately obtaining estimate approval as requiredAssist and support the delivery of reviewed estimates to the company management for review and approvalAssist and support in the production and issue of updates to projects cost estimates in a controlled mannerLiaise with other Project Controls disciplines to ensure project budgets and schedules are developed to reflect the structure and content of the approved project cost estimateLiaise with engineering, procurement, subcontract and construction functions to maintain awareness of the requirements and costs of labour, plant and equipment, materials, subcontracts, offices, IT, and other provisions, to ensure these are accurately reflected in the project costAssist and support with the formal filing of project and proposal estimates, the collection of project historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases and norms in a controlledAssist and support in the coordination, development, and issue of change orders in accordance with the appropriate change notificationsPERSON SPECIFICATIONQualifications: Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience)Knowledge, skills, and experience: Typically requires a minimum of six (6) years of progressive industry experience, with at least four (4) years in estimating positions Good knowledge of estimating techniques and systems with a detailed knowledge of how these are applied Detailed understanding of project management principles and techniques Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & ManagementPersonal Attributes: Demonstrates commitment to the company Values, Visions & Behaviours Strong analytical skills and ability to use estimating methods Ability to work independently and as part of a team Effective organization & planning skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills both written and oral Uses initiative, experience and a proactive approach to problem solving Commitment to continuous improvement Ability to guide & mentor others#J-18808-Ljbffr
