The incumbent will be required to assist in designing and implementing IT and electronic systems in the aviation industry.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:Manage project development from initiation to closure.Be accountable for project results along with project sponsor.Work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and timing.Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.Provide a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed,Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.Act as a mediator between stakeholders and team members.Carry out site surveysSolve services co-ordination problemsEnsure good engineering quality control Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change requests.Manage external consultants or contractors required to complete project. Liaise with CAD draughtsman for updates on drawings and ensure correct drawings are issued Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to sponsor.Lead, coach, and motivate project team members on a proactive basis.Develop tools and best practices for project management and execution.Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.Other duties requested by management in support of the business. Desired Experience & QualificationTechnical qualification (B Eng / B Tech / T5 + or equivalent) and experience (5 years +) requiredPMI Certification is a major assetCAD experience will be advantageousFamiliarity with project management tool, and/or software packagesDemonstrated leadership managing people.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentStrategic, operational, technical & management skillsRapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and prioritiesExcellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skillsAbility to elicit cooperation from contractors, consultants and other stakeholdersForge relationships with internal and external contactsWilling and able to take the initiative and solve services co-ordination problemsDriver’s licenseJob holder may occasionally be required to do site visits, which might not be close to home, for several days at a time.Johannesburg based position.Own transport essential.Attributes:Self-motivated and results orientatedAble to work without supervisionAble to follow instructionsAbility and willingness to learnMethodical and organisedHigh level of attention to detailExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) Package & RemunerationMarket Related.These jobs were popular with other job seekersAviation Project and Management Services#J-18808-Ljbffr
