Job Description: Lukhozi Consulting Engineers is recruiting an Electrical Engineer in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth or East London. The responsibilities include: Conducting scoping and condition assessments and reporting. Management of planning, design, and construction projects for building services projects from inception to completion. Preparation of tender documents. Preparation of various reports such as Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, tender evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc. Day-to-day administration of projects. Design of electrical building services and urban and rural reticulation and distribution. Administrate electrical engineering contracts as the Engineer in terms of the contract. Provide construction oversight for quality control and expediting of design clarifications. Handling technical queries, dispute resolutions, and leading Site and Technical Meetings, including the taking of minutes. Reviewing contractors' Quality Control Plans and Construction Method Statements. Preparing Payment Valuation and measuring of electrical and electronic installations. Communicating frequently with all professionals and clients. Assisting with project safety and environmental matters during construction. General office and project-related admin if required. Requirements: At least a B.Eng or B.Sc(Eng) degree in electrical engineering. Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer (PrEng). At least four (4) years of post-professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa. Experience in design and managing building services projects, municipal building service projects, urban and rural reticulation and distribution, Health, Education, and Public Works projects. Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly BIM360, ACC Docs, ACC Build, and ACC Collaborate Pro will be advantageous. Efficient in Relux lighting design, Dialux, Autocad, and Revit MEP. Must be an effective communicator (personal, phone, writing, email, etc). Benefits: Market-related salary. Group Life Insurance.
