Description Our client in the Fastener industry is currently looking to employ a Warehouse Planner based in Port Elizabeth.A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.Requirements:NQF Level 6.Minimum of 3 years’ Warehouse planning experience within the fastener or a similar industry.SA Citizen, valid ID and no Criminal RecordAbility to work long hours.Must be willing to work overtime when required.Valid Unendorsed EB driver’s license and forklift license.Experience in warehouse planning, process and quality control.Excellent oral and written communication skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.Above average command in at least two official languages of South Africa.Excellent interpersonal skills.Problem-solving and analytical skills to improve on service delivery.Ability to work independently.Honest, reliable, responsible, trustworthy, and mature. Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:Use Warehouse Management System to plan and monitor DC metrics.Make use of the Business Intelligence Program to monitor, plan and control activities within the DC.Ensure that contingency steps are taken or escalated to management to maintain process control.Coordinate the morning planning meeting of the DC and communicate previous day performance.Communicate performance vs. targets to the staff in the department.Communicate late orders or changes with the relevant customers, both internally and externally where necessary.Facilitate retraining or training of processes and conduct job observation audits.Carry out investigations and follow ups within the DC.Audit internal maintenance requirements i.e.. 5S, measuring equipment and moving equipment.Submit general information, weekly and monthly KPI reports and recommendations to relevant parties in a timeous manner.Ensure that the quality control functions within the department is carried out as set out in the QMS.Participate in non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.Ensure that the Credit Returns Policy is adhered to by the department.Where necessary, assist with picking or receiving functions.Where necessary, load and unload goods to and from vehicles with a forklift.Please note should you not receive a response within two weeks of applying you may assume that your application was unsuccessful.
