About the job Senior Business AnalystEMPLOYMENT TYPE:6-month contract.COMPANY:A large retail chain based in Cape Town.LOCATION:Cape Town (hybrid working model - 3 to 4 days a week onsite).JOB OVERVIEW:The client is seeking a business analyst to join their Finance team and contribute to various projects.DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:Streamlined operations and modernised technology through innovative solutions.Create clear documentation outlining business workflows and technical requirements.Ensure successful implementation by conducting thorough testing and providing ongoing assistance.Facilitate a smooth transition by managing change and providing user training.Offer expert guidance on system usage and provide ongoing user support.Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring efficient execution and successful delivery.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:A strong understanding of accounting practices including financial reconciliations, depreciation and stock accounting.Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP software processes.Strong presentation and facilitation skills.Above-average computer literacy - Google Workspace, MS Project, Excel, Word, MS Access, Visio.Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including:Change Impact ManagementTesting MethodologiesKnowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (scrum) and work practice.The successful candidate will also need to: Perform well under pressure, be results-oriented, be able to structure, be cooperative, have organisational sensitivity, be flexible, and be able to analyse and form opinions.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Finance/ Commercial related degree with analytical/commercial subjects.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum 5 years systems/business analyst experience, preferably in a retail/financial environment.Experience in working on large complex projects with cross-functional teams as the Lead Business Analyst.Experience in using business process management software (i.e. Jira, Confluence, etc.)Experience in managing and developing junior Business Analysts.ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:Any additional qualification(s) with regards to Information Systems or Finance.SAP Certification.Business Analysis Certification/Diploma.Project Management experience.Experience in IT Service Management and Defect Management.**Please note: If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.#J-18808-Ljbffr
