PurposeTo take responsibility for financial management, planning, controls, forecasting, record-keeping, finance and funder reporting, audits, policies, and processes thus ensuring the responsible use of funds in achieving the objectives of an NGO and building its financial sustainability, as well as ensure good expenditure through procurement and activity delivery. To support any contract needs for the organisation, as well as implement, maintain and update human resources policies.OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLEDevelop and implement financial strategy, prepare and manage the core operational budget, and support management on developing annual operating budgets.Develop funding budgets for proposals for fundraising and subscriptions and manage related invoicing.Monitor and ensure statutory compliance in relations to all taxation and relevant returns.Manage and conclude all aspects of the annual organisation and funder audits.Produce required financial and funder finance reporting, manage financial systems, tangible resources, and audit requirements.Manage and review processes of all payments/procurement (events, activities, small grants, travel) to ensure they are within budget and value for money and in accordance to specific individual funder finance control requirements and organisational policy, and ensure internal capacity in the programme team to monitor programmatic finances.Ensure banking controls and systems are maintained and followed.Manage the organisational personnel function and administration including contracts, and collaborate with the HR consultant on employee relations, disciplinary and performance matters.Report to the Board and ensure financial and governance is in place (CIPC).Job Types: Full-time, Permanent#J-18808-Ljbffr
