The Industrial Engineer will create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations and also ensures products meet established quality standards and reducing inefficiency from design inception. Analyse operations, design workflows and production processes to reduce loss along the way while still meeting customer needs and ensuring organization is run as efficiently as possible. Your Role: Collaborates with other engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines APQP Implementation Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated Design the layout of facilities and determine machines and personnel requirements Building jigs rigs Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and trends as well as developments in technology and equipment Applies above knowledge to maintain the organization’s competitive edge Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices Researches and recommends solutions and playing part in RCA’s etc Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses and estimated production costs Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals Perform industrialisation pre-study, define industrialisation concept and preliminary production solutions, drive execute production solutions and establishment of Production capability Ensure smooth transition of products and processes from Design environment to Production environment An expert in Process optimisation Your Profile: Desired Knowledge and Experience: 5 years (minimum) in Electronics Manufacturing industry as an Industrial Engineer or related role A good understanding of Manufacturing, Repair & Industrial engineering principles Ability to analyse data and Critical thinking application in resolving process / product challenges Knowledge and experience with simulation software to aid with the determination of production line resource requirements Draughting & mechanical structure design and analysis background (simple designs relating to workstations and production line support structures), working experience advantageous Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and Continuous Improvement methodologies Working knowledge and experience with Visio, MS Project and high level of computer literacy Knowledge and experience in Time and Motion studies and other Lean tools Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and Systems Design, Construction & handover of workstations/production lines/facility layout Supply chain and Quality management Required Skills: One must be Technically sound Programming capabilities such as CNC etc Production layout design experience Product design industrialization experience Manufacturing experience from PBA (Printed Board Assemblies), SMT Technologies and Hand Assembly to LRU (Line Replaceable Units) Mechanical and Electronic design abilities is an added advantage Technical report writing and presentation Business Process Mapping and Optimization Effective Stakeholder engagement Designing efficient manufacturing processes and workflows Excellent verbal and written communication skills Lean Manufacturing, 6Sigma & APQP knowledgeable Qualifications: Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering Degree/BTech or Higher Diploma, suitable qualification or equivalent.
