OverviewA reputable engineering company is looking for an Electrical Engineer, who can develop as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, focusing on LV, MV, HV Building Engineering, and Renewable Energy Generation in Gauteng!Requirements:BSc/BEng in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 3 years’ experienceRegistered with ECSAExperience in the building services sectorSound electrical engineering knowledge and experience in LV, MV, and HV (up to 275kV)Conversant with Digisilent, ETAP, and electrical power systems modelling and analysis softwareResponsibilities:Cost Estimation of electrical engineering scope of work, including equipment and construction costsPerform and check system studies (short circuit; load flow and protection coordination)Develop and check equipment purchase specification and develop RFQ’sDevelop tender documentation, adjudicate tenders, provide re-measurement of works and approve contract claimsKnowledge of:Load ListsSingle Line DiagramsNetwork DiagramsElectrical Schematic DiagramsHazardous Area ClassificationDiversification and Load factorsElectrical Network DesignFault Level CalculationsMotor start-up and Protection Schemes (MV and LV)Power Metering specification and interface to Energy / Building Management SystemsPlease note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
