Job DescriptionThe purpose of this underwriting position is to underwrite new policies and renewals, negotiations, quotes, etc.Responsibilities:Issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements on the Ski SystemPreparing new business quotesNegotiating renewal terms and preparing the renewal documentationChecking policies before sending them to brokersTelephone contact with brokers when they phone in with queries or amendments to/additional coversSaving all work electronicallySkill Sets Required:MatricNQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short-term insurance) as set by regulationRegulatory Examination Level 5 successfully completedMinimum 5 years’ working experience within an Insurance CompanyMinimum 3 years’ commercial underwriting experienceVery good verbal and written communication skills (English and Afrikaans)Negotiating skillsExperience in working with commercial productsPolicy, product, and systems knowledgeInterpersonal skillsProblem solving and analysisCross-functional awarenessPlanning, organizing, and follow-upsJob Type: Full-time#J-18808-Ljbffr
