Business Development Manager (Networking BU) 08 May 2024 Business Development Manager (Networking BU) Job Purpose Summary: The main objective of the BDM is to recruit new customers and reactivate dormant customers for Nology’s Networking business unit. The successful candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic salesperson who is able to identify potential customers, establish relationships and convert them into customers after which they will be handed over to the Account Management team for ongoing management. Job Title: Business Development Manager (Networking BU) Permanent/Temporary: Permanent Location: Centurion Key Duties and Responsibilities: New Partner Development Identify new potential resellers and partners. Establish contact and relationships with new partners. Communicate and present Nology’s product and solution portfolios. Nurturing leads and converting them to active customers. Negotiate deals and project opportunities. Compile and present proposals and quotations. Ongoing expansion of Active Partner base. Identify and engage dormant customers. Identify cross-selling opportunities with customers conducting business with other Nology Business Units. Attend relevant exhibitions and events. Liaise with relevant internal and external resources to ensure accuracy of solutions. Customer entertainment as necessary. Maintain relationships with key vendors. Manage project and bid process with vendors. Work closely with vendors on new opportunities. Engage with vendor-lead sales leads. Attend relevant training. Ensure that all customer queries are resolved timeously, leveraging other resources as necessary. Taking ownership and accountability for all partner queries, whether sales, technical, or finance related. Administration Load activities on CRM. Compile and present sales reports to management. Load and manage sales opportunities. Compile and present QBRs. Follow up on quotes. Follow up on operations responses. Requirements: Internal training: During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with training plan designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience. Minimum Qualifications: Matric An IT Diploma/ Degree would be advantageous. Additional Skills/ Knowledge and Characteristics: Systems: Excel, CRM, and ERP will be an advantage, Knowledge of relevant brand products and processes. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff at various levels. Knowledge of Vendor structure to have the correct point of contact. Knowledge of the information management industry in South Africa. Knowledge of IT industry. Team player willing to contribute to the success of the entire business unit. Excel intermediate Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail with numbers. Discretion and confidentiality. Ability to deliver on service-level agreements. Adhere to all policies and procedures that are implemented by the Company. Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong Relationship and Self-Management Skills Take initiative. Works well with all kinds of people. Remains calm under pressure. Experience required: ICT / Telecoms Distribution Experience. Previous experience selling Networking products / solutions beneficial. Proven history of achievement in New Business Development. Creative, solution-driven attitude Be willing to work in an agile environment where changes are frequent, and technologies evolve. Office requirements: Working hours 8h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday.
