Day-to-day operations of the operation sitesDevelopment and man-management of the operational team, with the intention of increasing the level of direct responsibility (where this is cost effective) for all aspects of the operation, from recovering landfill gas through to electrical and mechanical maintenance of the generators and ancillary equipmentReducing dependency on contractors, where it is economically prudent to do soSupervision of operating contracts, where retention is economically prudentDevelopment and implementation of H&S and quality systemsResponsible for the policing of Compliance and implementation of company environmental protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting and auditing.Commitment to training to enhance knowledge and skills with regard to Environmental protection and emergency preparedness skills.Attend Management review meetingsP&L reporting and operations budget controlControl of operating costsControl of Overhead costsLiaison with other departments to support commissioning and project developmentAny reasonable task required by the management in the exercising of its goals Project Involvement:Assistance with the installation, commissioning of generator sets/facilities and acceptance of units at hand-over to Operations.Contractor SupervisionSalary25 000 to 30 000 CTC
