We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Estimator to join our team in the refractory industry. The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for commercial refractory projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, sales team, and clients to provide detailed and competitive estimates that meet project requirements and timelines.Key Responsibilities:1. Review project specifications and drawings to understand scope of work and requirements.2. Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate estimates for commercial projects.3. Work closely with project managers, sales team, and clients to gather necessary information and feedback for estimating.4. Prepare detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software and tools.5. Identify and quantify potential risks and challenges in projects that may impact cost estimates.6. Provide input and recommendations on cost-saving measures and alternative solutions.7. Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bid proposals, and project documentation.8. Collaborate with procurement team to obtain pricing and availability of materials and equipment.9. Participate in project meetings and discussions to provide cost-related insights and updates.10. Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, market pricing, and cost factors to ensure competitive estimates.Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial estimating in the refractory industry.3. Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, WinEst, or similar.4. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.7. Knowledge of refractory materials, installation methods, and industry standards.8.
