New Space Systems is a product development and manufacturing aerospace engineering company in Somerset West. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced IT Systems Administrator to install, configure, and maintain the hardware and software components of our IT infrastructure. This includes servers, network devices, operating systems, and applications. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems and provide support to end-users. KEY TASKS Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, operating systems, and applications. Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability. Manage and maintain backups and disaster recovery plans. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Implement security measures to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats. Create and maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures. Provide technical support and training to end-users. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure optimal performance of IT systems. Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to meet organizational needs. Other ad-hoc duties as required by the company. PREREQUISITES QUALIFICATIONS&EXPERIENCE Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in a similar role. • Proficiency in managing Windows operating systems. • Strong knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and security. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as SharePoint. • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
