Our Client, a Private Medical Facility situated in KwaZulu Natal, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse [Psych] to join their team.In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to our patients across various departments. Duties&Responsibilities Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate mental health status and identify needs. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the treatment team. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to ensure patient and staff safety. Educate and counsel patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms. Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives. Desired Experience&Qualification Requirements: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification in Psychiatric Nursing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting. Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
