Details Location: Johannesburg, ZA Reference:  133974 REQ: 133974 Talent Acquisition Consultant: Job Family Finance Accounting Manage Self: Technical Job Purpose To Provide accurate, insightful, and timeous financial reporting to allow the business to measure its performance and position. Job Responsibilities Effective expense management (including transfer pricing) and reporting to internal stakeholders as it relates to procurement and processing of invoices including foreign payments. Build relationships with administrators in business units to optimize expense management and educate on finance processes. Posting of monthly journals including transfer pricing, expenses, accruals and provisions and the analysis and reporting of expenses. Analyse relevant data in order to increase efficiency, provide options and recommend solutions. Send out monthly expense report and analysis to business units. Engage with business units monthly to report financials. Manage queries and requests within turnaround times using applied learning, planning and coordinating resources, executing the appropriate tasks and taking corrective action when required. VAT reporting, VAT calculations and filing VAT for all companies on e-filing. Validating EMP201 as well as retrieving the Payee report Completion of yearly Vat apportionment calculations. Dividends withholding tax submissions. Completion of various monthly recons including deferred tax and fixed assets. Managing purchases of fixed assets Managing mandate requests and maintenance of mandate listing. Ensure compliance by operating within mandates and following regulations, policies and procedures. Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systems. Manage internal and external customer expectations by constant engagement, communicating and providing regular updates on progress. Build relationships with finance/business counterparts to ensure mutual tasks are well understood and executed, internal deadlines are met, and potential improvements implemented to maximize execution efficiency. Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders. Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers. Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames. Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing within the team. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc). Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
