The Hospital Facility Manager's overall responsibility is to manage and control the operational environment of a private day hospital in Simonstown, Western Cape. Furthermore, the Hospital Facility Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational execution within the area of responsibility and will assume the overall leadership and delivery of operational performance. The team member will be responsible to plan, direct, co-ordinate evaluate and review all activities necessary for the management of the facility.Further Role Breakdown :Ensure timeous submission of all supplier invoices for paymentParticipate in business planning and budgeting processes and manage nursing costs according to budgetEnsure compliance with finance month-end processMonthly variance reportingProvide strategic direction and implement key performance areas for the business. Identify areas for change and new business opportunities for the businessIdentify areas to improve operational efficiencies to ensure sustainabilityProvide emergency care to patients in a crisisManage change in integrated health care delivery systems, such as work restructuring, technological innovations, and shifts in the focus of careEvaluate the patient's journey through patient experience and stakeholder inputTimeous resolution of complaintsMonitor safety standards in accordance with the Machine and Occupational Safety Act (Act 6 of 1983)Effective leadership Mentor and coach team membersEnsure best and safest patient careManage overhead expenses according to budgetDisplay a professional attitude when responding to potential business partner's requirementsMaintain customer intimacy through building relationships with doctors and external providers to build patientloyaltyEnsure relevant formal training for all new team membersEnsure a structured working environment for team membersRecognise and reward performance appropriatelyAssist with relevant theatre procedures. RequirementsAn appropriate three-year tertiary qualification.A post-basic qualification in Operating Room Nursing Science will be advantageous.A Nursing administration and or management qualification will be an advantageAt least 5 years' experience in a senior managerial position, preferably in a hospital environment and /or service-related environment.Experience in administration, financial, operations and human resources management (including communication and training)Basic understanding of hospital operations.Sound financial and budgeting knowledge is essential.A detailed understanding of financial and business management principles.Good knowledge of the healthcare industry.Relevant computer proficiency.Strong negotiating skills.Resilience within a complex and challenging environment.Analytical thinking, problem solving and judgement ability.Holistic/big picture thinking.Risk management competence.Change management ability.Relevant theatre qualification.Relevant theatre experience.Professional flexibility in working hours while supporting daily business hours.Live in reasonable proximity to the role location.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryAdditional BenefitsMedical Aid Contribution#J-18808-Ljbffr
