The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for seeking solutions for process improvement of the Health and Safety performance and the safety culture of the company. Qualifications:Essential:Grade 12Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related studies.Comsoc 1 and 2Advantageous:Blasting CertificateMine Overseer Certificate of CompetencyManagement Development Programme (MDP)Masters in Business Administration or Leadership (MBA/L)Technical / Managerial Skills:Project management.Change management.Budgeting.Business performance management.Knowledge of business legal requirements.Safety, Health, and Environment management.Systems development and management.Computer skills (MS Package).Continuous improvement (innovation).Report writing.Presentation skills.Experience:Essential:In-depth knowledge of ISO Standards implementation, Matrix, and requirements.Experience in best incident investigation techniques.5+ years’ experience in a similar role in the mining industry.In-depth knowledge of relevant mine and health safety legislation.Physical/Legal requirements:Medically FitNo Criminal RecordValid Driver’s LicenseResponsibilities:Analyse the current health and safety systems and related processes.Contribute to the development of the health and safety strategy of the Company.Review the existing health and safety procedures to assist the company reduce risks in the business environment.Develop and maintain productive and/or conducive relationships with stakeholders.Measure the risk behaviour of people, coach, and train to achieve a sustainable safety culture.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements.Participate in the health and safety events management and planning.Ensure that Company processes are well-defined, understood, and executed.Continuously improve business and safety processes and systems.Ensure employees are clear about their roles and responsibilities in the environmental, health, and safety-related matters.Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Ensure that management decisions and health and safety incidents/accidents are communicated and understood.Manage a team of Safety Officers within the GroupSalary: negotiablePlease mail c.v. to ansie@infopersonnel.co.za#J-18808-Ljbffr
