Business Developer – BiPV – Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa 23 May 2024 Country: South Africa Company: Aces Africa BiPV Experience: 5+ Employment term: PermanentRequirement:• Under the guidance and supervision of the head of Business Development, the successfulcandidate will establish ACES Africa’s Gauteng Business Development office.• Identify and develop business opportunities to expand ACES Africa’s market share andrevenue by establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients andpartners.• The preferred candidate must have 5 years of experience in complex sales managementwithin the Renewable Energy industry, along with an understanding of Power PurchaseAgreements (PPAs).• Candidate must have an excellent track record of selling complex PV + BESS + generatorprojects for industrial and/or commercial applications.Role and Responsibilities:Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, andindustry trends.Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels, such as onlineresearch, networking events, and referrals.Proposal Development: Gathering relevant client information, coordinating inputs fromdifferent team members, designing bespoke solutions with Engineering, to prepare and timelysubmit proposals.Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with internal departments, aswell as clients and partners.Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and finalise contracts with clients and partners, ensuringcompliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Sales Pipeline Management: Monitor and track the progress of leads through the salespipeline, update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and provide regularreports to the management team.Revenue Generation: Achieve revenue targets through effective business developmentstrategies.Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the business development teamand with other departments or external partners.Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies.Target: Develop and implement 10MWP+/year through Independent Power Produce (IPP)partnerships.Key Performance Areas (KPAs):Pipeline building: Expand ACES Africa’s current network of IPP partners.Lead Conversion: Measure the number of leads converted into actual business deals.Revenue Generation: The candidate’s ability to deliver on the set objectives.Client Satisfaction: Assess the satisfaction level of clients through feedback and surveys.Reporting and analysis: Ability to report through the sales pipeline and the CRM, and to present astrategy to win projects / market shares.Tenders’ compilation: Ability to compile winning proposals when submitting tenders.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Pipeline building: Acquire and generate work with four new IPPs to develop Engineering,Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.Conversion Rate: The percentage of leads converted into actual business deals (20% target).Sales Revenue: The total revenue generated through business development activities.Client Retention Rate: The percentage of existing portfolio retained over a specific period.Proposal Submission Timeliness: The candidate’s ability to submit proposals in a timely manner.#J-18808-Ljbffr
