Description: RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced VEHICLE SURVEILLANCE OPERATOR for a large concern, position based in the Pietermaritzburg area, KwaZulu-Natal . JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS Grade 12. Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle. Person must be able to speak, read and write in English competently. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Person will be required to monitor the camera system and offer support and guidance in situations that could prove dangerous to the company drivers and other road users. Verify that all external cameras are set-up and online and functioning correctly. Road transport background preferred. 2yrs+ previous working experience in a similar field and position. Excellent communication skills. Analytical self-starter. Person may be required to assist in disciplinary hearings regarding any activities that were observed on the system. Utilizing GPS camera systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles. Monitoring truck driver performance. Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations by drivers. Identifying on-road exceptions and taking immediate remedial action. Co-ordinating and responding to emergency situations. Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service. Liaising with drivers, operations personnel and management. Assist with the opening of customer farm gates for delivery purposes. Developing and presenting daily incident reports. This position does entail shift work (person must be prepared to work day/night shifts). Salary offered: To be discussed
