Assist in the creation of menusSupervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staffProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to cooksEnsure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently metConduct regular tastings and inspections to maintain quality controlConduct training sessions for kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standardsStay updated on and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standardsWork with management to address any compliance issues promptly Requirements include:Kitchen LeadershipAssist in the creation of menusSupervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staffProvide guidance, training, and mentorship to cooksEnsure the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently metConduct regular tastings and inspections to maintain quality controlConduct training sessions for kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standardsStay updated on and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standardsWork with management to address any compliance issues promptlyRecipe Standardisation and DocumentationEstablish and maintain standardised recipes for all menu itemsRegularly review and update recipes to improve efficiency and qualityCollaborate with the procurement team to ensure best quality of ingredients, most cost-effective ingredients and efficient use of ingredientsProvide input on budgeting and cost-control measuresFood PreparationOversee and participate in the preparation, cooking and presentation of foodEnsure that high-quality culinary standards are maintainedPrepare meals according to recipes, methods and yieldsAssisting with new Recipes and Product DevelopmentInventory ManagementManage inventory levels and keep track of stock rotation to minimize stock wastageDaily and Weekly ordersOrder Receiving and Quality ControlWeekly Stock TakeQuality ControlMaintain and enforce hygiene, safety and sanitation standards in the kitchenMonitor food quality and consistency to meet established standards.
