Hire Resolve client is currently seeking an Assistant Audit Manager to join their team in Cape Town. As an Assistant Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Audit Manager in overseeing audit engagements and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Audit Manager to plan, execute, and review audits, assess internal controls, identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations for remedial measures. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring audit staff, as well as maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist the Audit Manager in planning and executing audit engagements within the Public Sector Review and evaluate financial statements for accuracy and compliance Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for enhancement Provide recommendations and solutions to address non-compliance Mentor and supervise audit staff to ensure high-quality work Maintain strong client relationships, understand client needs, and deliver exceptional service Stay up-to-date with auditing standards, regulations, and industry trends Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 4+ years of experience in auditing or a similar role Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills CPA or equivalent certification is preferred Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities Proficiency in using auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite Benefits Salary market related #J-18808-Ljbffr
