Time Type: Full Time Main Purpose of the Role To manage the staff, clients and deliverables of the branch ensuring that it is aligned with the overall objectives of the organization and the resources are fully utilized to ensure optimal delivery of services to our clients. Basic Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / Matric Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Courier/Transport Industry A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing people in a fast-moving environment Own transport essential Computer literate in Excel, PowerPoint, Word Skills / Competencies Self-Motivated and Self Driven Willing to work longer hours when required Good Attention to detail Good Problem-Solving skills Goal Orientated and Deadline driven Good Written and Oral Communication skills Ability to work well within a team Methodical, articulate and systematic Role and Responsibilities To manage the delivery of the organization’s objectives through communication, measurement, and motivation of the staff To interface with shared functions ensuring continues cooperation and interactions with these functions To manage and deliver on client’s commitments based on local, national, and global strategy To manage cost and productivity within the branch ensuring that efficiency and effectiveness is at the order of the day To ensure compliance to internal and external controls and other KPI’s set at global and local level To deliver on the bottom-line budget commitment to ensure that the business unit budget is met To identify opportunities and risks within the business that may impact the business environment and ability to deliver to shareholder commitments Managing people’s performance and growth to create a sustainable business environment Adherence to deadlines and schedules Managing and controlling resources and risk management Administrative duties relevant to the position Interacting with customers at all levels – in person and telephonically Maintain existing systems processes and controls with continuous improvement Ensure that housekeeping is always practiced Knowledge and understanding of P&L’s #J-18808-Ljbffr
