A number of part-time contract Television Production lecturer positions are available for Boston Media House (based in Sandton) for the 2024 Sem B academic year; Successful candidates will be required to participate in thefull academic delivery cy...Requirements: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in film/TV, Multi-media, or related field. Knowledge of non-fictional and broadcast television theory, systems, and role players. Some experience working in a television studio. (Film sets would also be beneficial). Knowledge of working with a multi camera set-up. Knowledge and basic understanding of lighting set-ups (especially in a studio set-up). Knowledge and basic understanding of sound mixing and recording (especially in a studio set-up). Knowledge of floor managing and running a “live area”. Knowledge and basic understanding of vision mixing and what a technical director does in a studio’s control room. Knowledge and basic understanding of using NLE (Non-Linear Editing) systems (Da Vinci Resolve would be highly beneficial). Knowledge of working with Black Magic and ATEM Systems would be highly beneficial. Prior lecturing experience would be beneficial. Remuneration: Negotiable and variable based on contract type (part-time); academic and professional credentials; and, workload allocation.Contract: Part-time (fixed-term).
