The Demand Planner will play a pivotal role in forecasting future product demand, ensuring that the company can meet customer needs. This role is critical for maintaining optimal inventory levels, reducing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials for production. This position will set the production plan and procurement targets. This position will collaborate between Sales, Procurement and Production to achieve optimal inventory targets. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Certification in Logistics from APICS or similar would be advantageous. Knowledge & Experience This position requires a balance of analytical skills, market knowledge, and effective communication to align supply and demand. We require a systems implementor that can assist in improving our material movement tracking between operations, to improve planning accuracy. Proven experience in Sales and Operation planning. Proven work experience as Demand planner, Forecasting, Production Planner or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing (preferably within an OEM Environment) industry. Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyse complex data sets and forecast demand accurately. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Inventory optimization techniques. Excellent computer skills, preferable, Syspro, M3, Excel, Syncron GIM, Advanced Planning systems (e.g. iPlanner), Machine learning programs. Project management skills and experience. Must have a structured approach, analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, critical thinking. Change management and change integration should also be second nature. Self-managing; works well under little supervision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated and enthusiastic. Confidence to question systems and processes and verify information. Attention to detail and well organised. Detail-oriented and highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities. Track record of value adding in a Multi-National Corporate environment through collaboration. Responsibilities Develop and implement an effective Sales Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply and demand plans. Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings with key stakeholders from sales, procurement and operations to review and adjust plans. Analyse sales forecasts, production plans and inventory levels to identify gaps and recommend adjustments. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, production and provide regular reports to management. Establish and maintain KPIs and metrics to measure relationship between forecasting, production plans and inventory levels. Generate RAs for all processes within span of control. Implementation of RA controls. Adhere to audit standard. Continually investigate and interrogate current practices and processes. Implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Maintain a safe and secure environment to protect the company’s property, assets, and people. Maintain and manage costs. Maintain healthy and productive working relationships with all departments (and individuals within the departments) across the organisation.
