Online Lecturing on programmes (must lecture on an IIE qualification) in the distance mode of delivery. Delivering a minimum of 1 module per semester. Responsibilities: Lecture preparation, delivery, and all related teaching and assessment activities. Marking of assessments and providing feedback to students in subjects lectured. Development of ICE activities, manuals, exam scripts, and marking memos where required. Internally moderating assessment scripts that fall within the respective subject fields, where necessary across IIE sites of delivery. Development of academic material and assessments on programmes within the School by acting as developer, module leader, moderator, or head of programme for the Central Academic Team (CAT). Online Lecturing Development and Support (20%): Support function to T&L in the distance mode and to The IIE in the discipline. Work with Lecturers and Tutors on their programme/s to build campus knowledge of industry trends and graduate placement. Conducting peer reviews in the programme of specialty. Brand resource SME to The IIE on modules and programme of expertise. Support the adoption of teaching and learning strategies and approaches in the distance mode. Assisting in any required research related to T&L. Involvement in lecturer orientation/briefing/forum. Involvement in student orientation and Programme Info sessions. Act as a panel member in the selection and recruitment process of Lecturers/Tutors. Mentoring of new lecturers. Quality Assurance: Conduct evaluations of the quality of teaching and learning (Moderation support, Peer Review, Buddy Systems). Learning and Teaching Resource Development (20%): Keeping up to date on current national and international best practices for online T&L. Working in collaboration with the Teaching&Learning Specialist and/or EdTech and/or Instructional Designer to develop synchronous and asynchronous support resources specific to the programme/faculty. Develop and promote effective real-time (synchronous) delivery practices suitable. Work with individual lecturers, new and tenured, to ensure selected resources are best suited to their particular discipline/module. Results Tracking + Intervention Planning (10%): Assessment point tracking using relevant platforms. Working in collaboration with relevant role players to identify at-risk modules and devise interventions. Student Development and Support (20%): Championing/leading and managing academic development and support for a specific programme and its students. Track individual student academic performance across the programme. Track student enrolment and success rates and work with The Teaching&Learning Specialist to implement necessary interventions. Assist where required with the experiential learning of students in their programme. Conduct student support interventions where required. Appropriate academic administration as required (related to student development and support). Implement academic guidance initiatives or programmes. Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance academic expectations. A blend of asynchronous/synchronous support for relevant faculty. Research and Scholarship (10%): Promote a culture of scholarship within practice, discipline, and campus/team. Contribute towards The College achieving its annual research output targets. Individual research output units will be set in consultation with your line manager on an annual basis. #J-18808-Ljbffr
